SLPCD’s Gravitas@Tappie believes in offering learners more than just academics, by also focusing on grounding children in classical values that will serve them throughout their lives in study, work, and family, and finding their place within society.
The child is nurtured with a blended home-education approach. Supported with the online international academic curriculum which is enhanced by a “classical education approach.”
Gravitas Education makes use of both modern home-education tools combined with the classical Trivium method of education to assist with the education of the child in gaining the skills and mental tools required to successfully face the challenges of the 21st-century world.
The young learners from age six will receive a blend of an online American Core Essential Learning Program as well as the South African Homeschool Curriculum – Footprints on Our Land. These have been designed to cover skills instead of outcomes, ideal for home education. Additionally, our Adult group will be assisted in obtaining their matric / NQF to ensure better post- school training and job opportunities.
