Apart from excelling in athletics, Gino Cupido played in the U18 SA Rugby Craven Week 2022, representing the Western Province and was selected to be part of the SA Schools A squad for 2022.
We, as the community, are so proud of Gino Cupido. This young man is so humble, achieving so much. Gino decided to better himself and work hard in a neighbourhood known for poverty, illiteracy, substance abuse and a general sense of despair, where most residents are unemployed.
He is a leader at his school and is always proud to represent the school and Western Province in sports and athletics. As South Africans, we are pleased to have him as Junior Springbok. As part of the SLPV community, we wish him the best for his future because we know and believe he is a winner and sportsman.
