Ceres Steam Train Company, Sir Lowry’s Pass Neighborhood Watch and Farm Watch are partners in the safe passage of the regular Steam Train Trips through the Village. Along the tracks various team members firstly keep watch that there are no obstructions, humans or fires that might be dangerous to the train and the passengers on the train. Secondly it is to showcase the friendliness of the Community by waving as the train passes. Recently a group of kids joined this wonderful initiative to be part of the selfless volunteers. The kids were taught the dangers of coming to close to the unprotected rails when the train passes and keep a look out for the smaller kids living next to the rails which becomes too excited to wave at the passengers.
