Sept 2022
The learners are working hard to recycle and clean the village. If the bags are too heavy to carry via teamwork, wheelbarrows are used or dads/uncles are asked to help with their bakkies.
Kids are gathering recyclables even during the school holidays. The Swapshop is full of all kinds of ‘treasures’ but mostly “healthy” sweets, school supplies and food for the whole family. The weekly glass recycling is too much for the Glass Bank. Therefore twice a week, glass is collected by the recycling company.
Ronni, Mpact’s Mascot also came to visit and motivate kids to recycle the right way while having fun. Click here to read more about the Recycling project on Our Impact in The School page.
April 2023
The recycling project is still going strong with continuous dedication from the community.
Mpact awarded gift parcels to the top 40 kids that participated in the recycling project for 2022.
