Dear SLPCD CSI Partner,
The time has come for SLPCD to return to the Old Tappie after 18 months. We are grateful that the City of Cape Town has repaired and improved the Old Tappie, featuring a brand-new roof, ceiling, kitchenette, and fresh coat of paint. We are returning as Gravitas @ Tappie Learning Centre. Our Needlework, Crochet, Knitting, Weaving, Baking, and Arts & Crafts projects will also return, enabling the community to become self-sustainable by learning new crafts and skills.
To assist the Gravitas Learning Centre:
- Bookshelves, cabinets or storing containers for our school files
- Library and project supplies
- Colour and printing paper
- Paint and brushes
- Any arts and craft stickers and supplies
- Crayons
- Kohki’s or colour pens
- Epson printer ink, to print all learning materials, no handbooks.
- Monthly learner’s fees
To assist with snacks:
- Kettle
- Crockery and cutlery
- Coffee mugs, side plates, glasses and teaspoons
- Fridge
- Microwave
To assist with other projects:
- Any material, wool and sewing needs
- Any baking supplies
We are grateful for the donations of laptops, printers, learner desks, teachers’ desks, sewing materials, sewing machines, wool, and stationery that we have received to date, which are helping to make this future sustainable dream a reality.
Kind regards
Louisa Lourens
